Since 1953, Anne Arundel County residents have enjoyed attending the annual County Fair in Crownsville, MD. This year’s Anne Arundel County Fair will be held from Wednesday, September 16th through Sunday, September 20th, so mark your calendars for entertainment and activities the whole family can enjoy.
This year’s fair will feature carnival rides and games, animal exhibits, pony rides, monster trucks, garden tractor pulls, pig races, pie eating contests, a talent show, live music and much more. In other words, it will be five full days of classic fair fun!
Some of the highlights include such varying activities as pig races and poultry judging to dance shows and painting demonstrations. There will be plenty of kids’ activities, too, including pig and duck races and kiddy rides. In fact, Friday the 18th is Children’s Day. Check out all of the kid-friendly activities planned for that day here.
The fair will be located at the Anne Arundel County Fairgrounds at 1450 General’s Highway (Route 178) in Crownsville. The hours for this year’s fair are as follows: 4 to 10 p.m. Wednesday; 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday; 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. Friday; 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday; 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sept. 20.
Admission is super-cheap, so the fair is also an affordable way to get out of the house to enjoy music, live animals, and plenty of entertainment. Tickets for people aged 16 and over are $7.00 each, children aged 6-15 are $5.00 each, and kids 5 and under get in free. Senior citizens (aged 55 and over) and those with disabilities will be admitted free on Thursday the 17th from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.
