Annapolis

Our state capitol is a beautiful waterfront city that is rich with history. It is also the perfect place to dine on the freshest blue crabs around!

Living at Creekstone Village apartments means you have easy access to everything Annapolis has to offer. While summer is still in full-swing, take advantage of our lovely city with the perfect “day out” in Annapolis.

Start your day with a tour of the U.S. Naval Academy. Besides its rich history, Annapolis is famous for being the home of the Naval Academy, where thousands of U.S. Navy and Marine Corps offers have been trained. Guided tours begin at the Armel-Leftwich Visitor Center, and the Naval Academy Museum features more than 50,000 artifacts.

Move on to a tour the Maryland State House. Did you know that our state capitol is the oldest one still in continuous legislative use? Tour this beautiful building to learn about Maryland’s rich history. Guided tours begin at the State House Visitors’ Center and are given upon request when you arrive.

Next, visit the Annapolis Maritime Museum. Annapolis has a fascinating maritime heritage, which you can explore through exhibits and live entertainment. Learn about the life of watermen and the seafood industry of days past in the Bay Experience Center, which is located within the area’s last remaining oyster packing plant. You can also take a boat out to the Thomas Point Shoal Lighthouse.

Sit down to a dinner of delicious Maryland crabs. Don’t leave until you’ve tried crab cakes, crab legs – or however you like them – at one of these favorite Annapolis restaurants: Mike’s Restaurant and Crab HouseCantler’s Riverside Inn, and Skipper’s Pier.

Finally, if you’re up for it, meet the ghosts who inhabit the city by taking a ghost walk with the popular Ghosts of Annapolis Tours.  Two tours are offered, and both require reservations. One is a lantern-led journey through the historic district, and the other is a haunted pub crawl. Whichever tour you choose, prepare to be scared – and entertained!
