Register Now for the Maryland Polar Bear Plunge

From Jan. 23-25, residents of Maryland are taking a freezing-cold dip in the Chesapeake Bay for a good cause! The Maryland Polar Bear Plunge, which is really a series of Polar Plunges, caters to all people looking to make a difference. The event begins with the “Cool Schools” plunge on Jan. 23. Teachers, students, and coaches can all take the plunge by either paying or fundraising $50. Next comes the “Police Plunge” and the “Corporate Plunge” on Jan. 24. The Police Plunge is running from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and the Corporate Plunge is from 1-5 p.m. Participation in either of these plunges will cost $75.

Lastly, of course, is the main event: The Maryland Plunge. This is when anyone can participate for $75. This event runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will be a day full of fun. There will be several different plunge times for different teams. Guests who are not plunging are welcome to relax in the heated Ice Lodge. There will be entertainment and music performed.
